What is the difference between Perfume Alcohol 96% and 99%?

96% Alcohol is smoother, skin-friendly, and does not give a strong “cold blast” in the top notes — making it ideal for fine fragrances.
99% Alcohol evaporates faster and feels harsher on the skin, often causing sharp alcohol smell in the opening.

What is the difference between Galaxolide Pure and Galaxolide 50 DEP?

Galaxolide Pure = 100% aroma chemical, highly concentrated, thick, and harder to blend.
Galaxolide 50 DEP = pre-diluted in DEP at 50%, easier to measure, blends faster, and is preferred for perfumes due to better alcohol solubility.

What is Ambroxan and what types are available?

Ambroxan (Ambroxide) is an ambergris-like molecule used for depth, warmth, longevity, and projection.
There are different types like Ambrofix (Givaudan), Amber Xtreme (IFF), and other ambroxide variants — each with its own strength and character.

Do I need to dilute Ambroxan before using it?

Yes. Pure Ambroxan crystals should be diluted (usually to 10%) in ethanol or DPG before blending into a fragrance formula.
This ensures smooth solubility and prevents crystal formation in the final perfume.
